As an executive producer, I was fortunate to work on Star Pravah Awards – an event celebrating the high achievers in the field of art, science, social work, entertainment, and politics. Bringing to light, some of the most inspiring community work and the people behind these selfless endeavours.

Darna Mana Hain (Fear is Forbidden) – Travel Show
Winner of News Television Award, this adventure show features India’s extreme sportsperson Sheetal Mahajan, a skydiver and the holder of eight world records in the sport. Known as the first woman to perform an accelerated free fall jump over the Antarctica from 10,000 feet, and the youngest woman to jump over both the North and South Poles.

Bhutan Diary – Travel Documentary
Bhutan, a Buddhist nation situated on the edge of the eastern Himalayas, is known for pioneering the concept of Gross National Happiness. It is, hence called the land of the happy people. This short documentary focusses on the fast changing heritage nation as it strives to catch up on economic liberalisation and globalisation. Filmed and Produced for IBN Lokmat News Channel.

Sell Me The Answer: 60 x 52 episodes
Based on UK’s most celebrated game show ‘Sell Me The Answer’ – was adapted for Star Pravah. This is show was hosted by one of the biggest names in Bollywood industry – Actor Riteish Deshmukh. Along with that, I am proud to say that this show also brought inspiring stories of empowered women to the infamously regressive prime time slot of the regional entertainment channel.

Kitchen Superstar: 30 x 78 episodes
Unscripted Cooking Game Show Format conceptualised and produced for Star Pravah Entertainment Channel. Daughters and daughter-in-laws battle it out to get the heirloom family recipe right and be pronounced the Kitchen SuperStar. Judged by the family’s matriarch this daytime television show was hosted by the most celebrated film, TV and theatre personality Spruha Joshi.

Life & Works of Artist Amrita Sher-Gil 
“I can only paint in India. Europe belongs to Picasso, Matisse, Braque…. India belongs only to me,” said the iconic artist who is regarded as one of the greatest avant-garde women artists of the early 20th century and a pioneer in modern Indian art. This TV documentary explores the co-relation of the artists personal life and its reflections on her art.

Miyar Valley Himalayan Expedition – Short Documentary
Short Documentary about India’s second big wall climbing expedition in the Himalayas. A group of ace rock climbers of India embark on a high altitude climbing expedition (Toro Peak, 4860 meters above sea level) in Miyar valley of the Himalayan mountain ranges, India. Two new climbing routes were set and first accents were made.

Ramleela – Short Documentary
In 2008, UNESCO declared the Ramlila festivities as one of the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.” It is staged during the annual autumn festival of Navratri in India. After the enactment of the legendary war between Good Vs Evil, the Ramlila celebrations climax with the burning of giant grotesque effigies of demon Ravana (symbolic of the evils), typically with exhibitionist fireworks.

Recipient of Best Issue Based Program Award at United Nations Populations Fund’s Laadli Media Award for Gender Sensitivity (2014). In the wake of Delhi Rape Case, we conceptualised and produced a show that triggered immense audience response and sparked uncomfortable conversations about gender stereotypes.
